CHRISTOPHER
GRUM
Chris was born in Dallas, Texas but has lived all over the country. His early years were spent in Westchester County, just outside of New York City. He also lived for two years in Pennsylvania. His family moved back to Texas for his high school years, during which he got his first job in radio as a disc jockey. The broadcasting industry would ultimately take him to Boston, Las Vegas, back to Texas and finally to Houston.
An avid traveler, Chris played "amateur travel agent" to his friends for years, before leaving the radio industry and founding his company Premier Custom Travel. Since 2010, he has owned and operated that award-winning travel agency, which focuses on cruises, theme park vacations, all-inclusive resorts, and guided tours worldwide. Chris was inducted in the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Hall of Fame in 2022.
Chris is also a published author, having co-written a series of instructional texts for travel advisors. Each book in The Travel Advisor's Handbooks series has gone on to be a best-seller. There are currently three books in that series and a fourth book is coming soon.
Chris lives in Iowa Colony, Texas with his girlfriend Melissa and their cats Otto and Sammy. In his spare time, he enjoys going to see live theatre, traveling, sports (especially baseball, hockey and football), and spending time with friends.
ETCHINGS is his debut play.
